Author: Lucien Morren, PhD

Article Abstract:

The author, a professor emeritus of engineering at the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve, states at the outset that Catholic scientists are no different from any other Christian in the responsibility and privilege of living their faith. However, he cautions the reader that scientists have an obligation to refute the claims of “scientism”; namely that science and religion are in opposition, even incompatible. Morren then goes on to explain how scientists as committed Christians can help to dispel this particular myth, among others.
